Doyang Dam is about an hour drive from Wokha Town, Nagaland along the Wokha-Bhandari Road. Doyang area is a popular tourist destination in Wokha district of Nagaland. And even more so due to the Amur Falcons - Doyang area being one of the roosting site during their migration.
The scenery around the dam is picturesque. The Doyang river is the biggest river in Nagaland. And undoubtedly, the Doyang dam is also the biggest in Nagaland.

Doyang Hydro Electric Project was commissioned in 2000 and has capacity of 75MW. It is still managed by North-Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO).
During September to November, these hills surrounding Doyang witnesses one of the largest ensemble of migratory birds- the Amur Falcons. Nagaland is also declared as the "Amur Falcon capital of the world".
