Singtam is a town in East Sikkim district in the Indian state of Sikkim about 30 kilometers from the state capital Gangtok. It fall on the way to Gangtok from Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.
One the way to Singtam, we stopped by at Singtam to stroll the local market and to have some tea and snacks before heading to Gangtok.

The Teesta River originates from the Pahunri (or Teesta Kangse) glacier above 7,068 metres (23,189 ft), and flows southward through gorges and rapids in the Sikkim Himalaya.
