Festival, Kohima, Nagaland. "Tokhu Emong" is a harvest festival of the Lotha Naga Tribe of
Nagaland. It is observed every year on the 7th of November.
Nagaland is a state in the far North Easten part of India bordering
Myanmar. Nagaland State alone has 16 officially recognized Naga Tribes
each with distinct dialects, food, culture, customs, and traditional
attires. There are some similarities here and there but each Naga tribe
have slightly unique traditional costumes and attires. Nagas have
vibrant culture. Red is one of the most primary colors in Naga
costumes. Naga women used to weave their own clothing using traditional
methods. Naga shawls and 'wrap-arounds' worn by Naga Women have
intricate design patterns done by hand in their clothing.
