About Kohima:

Kohima is the hilly capital city of India's north eastern state of Nagaland.  Kohima is situated at an altitude of 1,444 m (4,738 ft). It is the second largest city in the state after Dimapur, the commercial hub of Nagaland. 

Originally known as Kewhira, it was founded in 1878 when the British Empire established its headquarters of the then Naga Hills.

The peak in the background is Puliebadze, which is a Puliebadze Wildlife Sanctuary declared in 1980. Puliebadze forest shares a part of Mt.Japfu (second highest peak in Nagaland) mountain range.
