Nagaland is a state in the far North Easten part of India bordering Myanmar. Nagaland State alone has 17 recognized tribes, each with distinct dialects, food, culture, customs, and traditional attires. There are some similarities here and there but each Naga tribe have unique traditional costumes and attires.

Nagas have vibrant culture. Traditional costumes of Naga tribes are colourful and vibrant. Red is one of the most primary colors in Naga costumes. Naga women used to weave their own clothing using traditional methods and Naga shawls/wrap-arounds have intricate design patterns in their clothing.
