- We always see the same side of the Moon from Earth because it is tidally locked, meaning its rotation period matches its orbit around Earth. The side which we do not see from the earth is called the 'dark side of the moon'.
- The Moon has no atmosphere, which means there is no weather and the sky always appears black.
- The Moon is slowly drifting away from Earth at a rate of about 3.8 cm per year.
- If a person is 60kg on earth, he would weight one-sixth, that is, 10 kg on the moon due to weaker gravity.
