Almost every Konyak Village is headed by a chief, known as "Angh"
without the exception of Longwa Village. But this Angh might be
different from the other Anghs, and possibly the only one with an
International border right in the middle of a house! In the previous post "Photos from a trip to Longwa Village: Items on display inside the house of the Angh." we saw the landscape of Longwa village, the Angh's house, and photos around the border.
Items on display inside the house of the Angh
The Angh's house is a long thatched house with a roof made of palm leaves. Konyak thatches are significantly long. The chief’s house
like most houses in the village is adorned with skulls and exo-skeleton
of animals they hunted. Besides, there were also drawings and carvings on giant wood pillars.
