Photos of Smokie Concert at Kohima Nagaland during Hornbill 2014

 

The  legendary English rock band Smokie was here in Nagaland during the Hornbill Festival 2014 and enthralled a crowd of over 10,000 packed at the Hockey Ground (IG Stadium), Kohima on December 3, 2014. 

Songs of Smokie are popular among listeners in Nagaland especially the older generation. Even youngsters know a song or two. The band performed their hits like Don’t Play Your Rock ‘N’ Roll to Me, I’ll Meet You at Midnight, Oh Carol, I Don’t Wanna Talk About It, If You Think You Know How to Love Me, Wild Wild Angels and Have You Ever Seen the Rain, among others.

This was Smokie's second time performing in Northeast India, the first being a show at Mizoram eight years ago.
